General information, not an official quote. Not a government site and not eNaTIS. Fees follow each province's gazetted schedule; your renewal notice or registering authority has the final amount.

About KayaDisc

KayaDisc helps South African drivers work out what a licence disc renewal or a change of ownership will cost, from the fees each province publishes in its gazette. It is part of KayaWise.

Why "KayaDisc"?

"Kaya" is South African slang for home, and the licence disc is the small round certificate on almost every windscreen in the country. Renewing it is a yearly bill for most households, and the fee depends on your province and your vehicle's tare, which few people know how to look up. We do the lookup and show the gazette.

Where our fees come from

Only from official publications: provincial registration and licence fee schedules in the Provincial Gazettes (or the Government Gazette), the Road Traffic Management Corporation Regulations for the national transaction and NaTIS Online fees, and the government's own service pages on gov.za for the procedures. Where a province's current schedule could not be verified, it is marked “coming soon” and no amount is shown.

Provinces shown: Eastern Cape (coming soon), Free State, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Northern Cape, North West, Western Cape. Some gazettes are scanned images; we read those figures from the page images and record that in our source notes. Last full review: 30 October 2026.

What we are not

We are not a government website, not eNaTIS and not a registering authority, and we do not give legal advice. The amount on your renewal notice, or charged by your registering authority, is the one you pay. We do not estimate late penalties or arrears.

How the site is funded

The site is free and shows clearly labelled display advertising. We do not use affiliate or referral links, and adverts never change a result.
